The idea person.
Arrives with a riff, three possible endings, and a strong feeling that the song needs a bridge. Has never met a rehearsal that couldn’t become a songwriting session.
SIX PERSONALITIES. ONE BAND.
Every great band
starts somewhere.
We started on a stage plot.
Things got a little out of hand.
THE ORIGINAL LINEUP / NO SUBSTITUTIONS
01 / OUR STORY
It began with six icons and a simple question: “Where does everybody stand?”
In the world of The Tutorials, that was the first rehearsal. Someone counted in, someone asked for more of themselves in the monitor, and someone had already moved the keyboard. A band was born.
They’re a fictional six-piece with a soft spot for bright hooks, warm harmonies, and the kind of groove that makes a soundcheck run long. Part garage-band enthusiasm, part suspiciously organized stage setup, they believe a good song should leave room for everyone.
Originally assembled for the Stage Plot Designer demo, The Tutorials have stepped off the diagram and onto a page of their own. Still learning. Still listening. Still trying to agree on the last song.
02 / THE LINEUP
Six characters. Six colors.
More opinions than necessary.
Arrives with a riff, three possible endings, and a strong feeling that the song needs a bridge. Has never met a rehearsal that couldn’t become a songwriting session.
Hears the whole arrangement while everyone else is working on their own part. Finds the harmony, settles the argument, and remembers how the good version went.
Says very little until there’s something worth playing. Usually has the simplest part in the room—and somehow it’s the one everybody misses when it stops.
Turns a tentative first run-through into something that feels like a show. Believes in big choruses, eye contact, and giving the new idea one more chance.
Labels the cables and knows which version of the set list is actually current. Quietly makes it possible for everyone else to be spontaneous.
Suggests the unexpected cover, the strange little fill, the ending nobody saw coming. Usually gets a raised eyebrow. Occasionally gets the best moment of the night.
03 / WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Before there was a band website, there was a stage to arrange. Find The Tutorials in the Stage Plot Designer demo and see where everybody fits.
